I am a personal trainer in Los Angeles. I always had an athletic drive at a young age, I started gymnastics which quickly transitioned to competitive cheerleading. Unfortunately an ACL injury sidelined me from competitive cheerleading.
In 2012 I started going to the gym but didn’t know much about weight training was what you called a “cardio bunny”. It wasn’t until 2013 that I hired a personal trainer and became consistent and open to weight training. When I noticed improvement with my body, my trainer suggested that I try to compete in a bikini competition.
When I started to prep for my first bikini competition at the end of 2014, I was working a full time job from 9-5 while weight training six days a week which also included 4-5 days of cardio in between, in order to get myself ready for the competition. It was a grueling task. Let me tell you it wasn’t easy but in the end it was very rewarding. In July of 2015 I competed my first NPC bikini competition and placed 2nd. A year later, I went on to compete at my second competition at the “NPC Iron Man Naturally” where I placed 2nd again and became qualified for national events. During the course of my competitions, my family realized a big change in my attitude and my demeanors and suggested to become a personal trainer. I took that to heart and so far never looked back.
In 2016, I became a certified personal trainer and left the banking industry in pursuit of my passion; “Personal Training”. I was fortunate to land a training position with Equinox in early September of 2017, as you might know, they are a prestigious gym that cater to high-end clients.
From the very beginning, I knew this would lead me to my goal of wanting to help people not only to get fit and strong but also become more aware of their potential to do better in life. I am a believer that a fit body , leads to better mind and more opportunities in life. I truly enjoy what I do. But just like anything in life it has its ups and downs.
My fitness journey has been the best experience of my life. I’ve met so many great people and clients that I’ve trained . There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing my clients achieve their goals whether it’s in fitness or in everyday personal life.
